With the end of November, Unidro has been awarded the Water Clean Up Package of the Ethane Cracking section by Technip Energies (which was awarded an EPC contract by Borouge, a joint venture between ADNOC and Borealis), for the Borouge 4 Expansion Project.

The new B-4 plant, located in the Ruwais Industrial Zone in Abu Dhabi, will bring the Borouge complex’s production of polyolefins to nearly 10 million tons per year, making it the largest production site of polyolefins in the world.

Our plant (Water Clean Up Package) will treat process water from ethane cracking, removing oil and suspended solids in order to enable its reuse. The treatment includes an initial induced gas flotation (IGF) section, a train of  nutshell filters (NSF), and finally cartridge filters.

Flotators and filters will be fabricated at the Novara workshop while the piping prefabrication and skid assembly will take place in Levate.
