Unidro has been awarded a contract for the design and supply of a large unit that will use membrane technologies to produce demineralized and cooling water for a fertilizer plant in Uzbekistan. Due to the severe constraints in liquid effluents discharge, a significant part of the Project is the ZLD section. It will include concentration of the main reverse osmosis reject in an additional RO pass, then evaporation of the reject in a forced circulation evaporator. The evaporator section, designed as per Unidro’s proprietary know-how, will produce a final waste with no less than 20% total solids content.
Unidro has been selected by Hyundai Engineering Co. (HEC) for the supply of a Side Stream Filtration unit for the Uzbekistan Gas to Liquid Project (UZGTL).
This is a new achievement for Unidro in Gas To Liquid Projects, some years after the large involvement in the Chevron GTL Escravos Project in Nigeria.
The Coral South LNG Project, for its size, quality of resources and geographical position, will transform Mozambique’s economy and is a further significant achievement for ENI operatorship capabilities.
The Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) unit is the core of the first phase of this Project and Unidro has been selected by ENI and the JV in charge of the EPC execution of the project (Technip, France and JGC, Japan) to supply four packages: Fresh Water Desalination, Demineralized Water Treatment, Water Deaerator and Amines Sidestream Treatment. The packages, all designed according to LR requirements and duly certified for the naval use, will be delivered to Korea for the installation in the vessel hull.
This new order follows the PO dated one year ago for the supply of 6 packages for the Zohr Gas Project in Egypt, and makes Unidro now involved in the two main projects being currently developed by ENI.
In the frame of Hassi R’Mel Boosting Project in Algeria, Unidro received an important PO from JGC Corporation for the design, procurement and supply of three Produced Water Treatment Units and three Produced Water Filtration Units, to be installed in separate project areas respectively. Unidro scope of supply includes over 100 pressure equipment. The tight delivery schedule makes this project a new challenge for Unidro, which will set a new important milestone in the long list of references and successful experiences with the Japanese Contractor JGC and with the Algerian End User Sonatrach.
The high pressure Condensate Polishing Unit with external regeneration system supplied by Unidro for the Suez Power Station in Egypt has been successfully started up by Unidro Start-up team. The unit is based on Unidro proprietary technology for resin separation and transfer from process to regeneration vessels, designed to match the hghest condensate purity in steam cycle power plants. The demanding performances required to the unit have been proven, and the unit is running at full rate.
After the supply of three treatment packages four years ago, Unidro receives a new order for an additional package to be installed in the ICHTHYS LNG plant (owned by Inpex, Japan) presently under construction in Australia by the EPC contractor, a JV including Chiyoda-JGC-KBR.
Unidro has been selected by the EPC JV for this super fast-track delivery, in consideration of the good performance in the supply of the previous units and of the proven record of on-schedule project execution with the involved contractors. The unit, a boiler blow down treatment package, will be ready for shipment within December this year, to match with the current site schedule.
In June 2016 Unidro received two POs from Petrobel for the supply of 6 packages for ENI Zohr Gas Processing Plant in Egypt.
The development of Zohr, the largest Gas Field in the Mediterranean sea, is approached by ENI as a super fast-track project, targeting to produce treated gas within two years after the field discovery. In this frame, Unidro has been requested to deliver a water desalination unit, a condensate package and four lean amines filtration units in a challenging 7 to 9 months period. Today we can say the challenge has been won: all of the goods have been collected and shipped to site on schedule.
HOFOR (Greater Copenhagen Utility) is building a new biomass PS in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Unidro received a contract for the turn-key supply of a plant to treat and reuse a contaminated condensate stream released by a fume treatment system.
The unit includes the use of the most advanced membrane technologies for water purification and will be designed according to the most demanding HFE criteria.
Fortischem, a Slovakian chemical company, ordered to Unidro a complete brine purification system for the ongoing mercury-to-membrane CA conversion project. The system includes brine primary and secondary filtration units, brine softening unit with chelate resin, and depleted brine dechlorination unit. This contract is another confirmation of the interest of european CA plant Owners in Unidro’s brine purification systems, and it follows similar Projects handled by Unidro for Borsodchem (Hungary) and Química del Cinca (Spain).
Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (ORPIC) has awarded a contract for its new Liwa Plastics Industries complex to the joint-venture between CB&I (the Netherlands) and CTCI (Taiwan).
Unidro has been selected by the EPC JV for the design and supply of a condensate treatment and recovery package. The unit includes suspect oily condensate treatment, turbine condensate filtration and mixed bed polishers with the relevant regeneration facilities.
