We have completed the pre-commissioning of our Condensate Water Treatment Plant and Make up Water Production Plant within the new biomass Power Plant in Copenhagen. In the next months the whole PP will start working and Unidro plant will treat the condensate from fumes wash to guarantee its complete decontamination and recovery. Unidro, supported by the expertise of Nitto Denko (world leader membrane supplier), has designed a multi-step treatment which allows for concentration reduction down to ppt values for toxic heavy metals, in order to meet the stringent discharge parameters.

Egyptian Middle East Oil Refinery (Midor), considered to be Africa’s most advanced refinery, is being expanded to increase its capacity from the existing 100,000 barrels per day (bpd) / five million tonnes per year to 160,000 bpd. Unidro is involved with the supply of four packages to treat water and condensate.
Unidro has just completed the succesful start-up of 6 different water treatment packages installed within the frame of Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery, Kuwait, for the Clean Fuels Project 2020. Another big package for waste water treatment will be soon ready for started-up.
For major details refer to our dedicated web page to KNPC Clean Fuel Project in main project section of our web site.
TechnipFMC, in a consortium with SK Engineering & Construction, chose Unidro as supplier for a very large Side Stream Filter Package to be installed within the frame of Long Son Petrochemical Complex in South of Vietnam. It will be the first integrated petrochemical complex in the country and will produce more than two million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of essential plastic materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene and other products.
PGESCO (Power Generation Engineering and Services Company) has just released the Operational Acceptance certificate of Unidro Condensate Polisher System Unit installed in the Suez Thermal Power Plant owned by EAST DELTA ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION COMPANY in Egypt.
Unidro designed a high pressure (40 bar g) Mixed Bed Polisher Unit with a design capacity of 1.800 m3/h. The resins are regenerated by an external system including vessels and equipment for resin transfer, regeneration and mixing.
The unit has been started-up under the supervision of Unidro engineers few months ago and the Operational Acceptance comes after a period of trouble-free and smooth operation.
CSTS, a JV led by Chiyoda Corporation and Saipem, selected Unidro for the design and supply of a large WWT in the frame of the expansion of British Petroleum LNG facility in Tangguh, Papua-Indonesia.
The contract signing arrives after a long selection process involving the major global water specialists, and it is the confirmation of Unidro’s technical standing as well as of its reputation as a reliable and committed partner in the O&G industry.
Tight schedule constraints, complex process architecture, demanding project requirements and site remote location make this new job a tough task that Unidro Project Team is ready to accomplish through sheer will.
As part of its strategy to strengthen presence in the APAC market, Unidro is co-hosting some 200 professionals and engineers representing Thai operators and end-users in the O&G, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. Unidro is presenting its water treatment solutions for the downstream applications. Presentation to cover feed raw water treatment, process filtration, and waste water treatment and reuse. The technical symposium will have place on the 2nd and 3rd of August in Pattaya, Thailand in collaboration with UAC Global Public Company Limited, Unidro local Thai partner.
At Port Said, in Egypt, ENI is leading the Zohr Gas Project, one of the most challenging performances ever tried in the field of the large O&G projects: starting production of a gas field only 3 years after discovery. Unidro, supplier of several packages in the on shore gas processing facility, is now involved in the commissioning and start-up activities: a team of three field engineers is mobilized from Unidro headquarter to site, committed to give the best support to reach the goal.
At Bir Rebaa Gas field in Algeria the new PWT system designed, supplied and installed by a three parties JV participated by Unidro is at commissioning phase. Our field team is now present at site throughout pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up steps and will follow-up, on a back-to-back shift arrangement, until the final handover to client (GSA, i.e. Groupement Sonatrach Agip).
After fulfilling the superfast delivery of the packages for Zohr phase-1, Unidro has been renewed ENI’s trust and has been selected for the supply of 3 additional Lean Amine Filtration trains, and 1 additional Demineralized Water production unit based on membrane technology.
Though this phase-2 will largely benefit from the engineering works developed for phase-1, the agreed delivery time (completion within 8 months) represents a new challenge for Unidro, and a new chance to prove to be the right partner for this very fast-track Project.
